Guest guest
Thanks, good article, one that everyone should read wether have a child with a disability or not. I must admit, before my daughter was born almost ten years ago, I looked or stared out of curiosity. I had never known anyone with a disability and was always interested – but I'm sure it wasn't perceived that way by the parents! Now that I am the parent, it really depends on my mood or the situation if I use it as a teaching moment or if I choose to ignore the starers. Sometimes I am just too overwhelmed or tired to teach and just want to "be."ColleenReply-To: <DownSyndromeInfoExchange >Date: Wed, 18 Apr 2012 13:29:35 -0000To: <DownSyndromeInfoExchange >Subject: [DownSyndromeInfoExchange] Do You Stare at Special Needs Kids? http://www.dailyherald.com/article/20120418/entlife/704189987/
