Thanks, good article, one that everyone should read wether have a child with a disability or not. I must admit, before my daughter was born almost ten years ago, I looked or stared out of curiosity. I had never known anyone with a disability and was always interested – but I'm sure it wasn't perceived that way by the parents! Now that I am the parent, it really depends on my mood or the situation if I use it as a teaching moment or if I choose to ignore the starers.
