Guest guest
Hello,I would like to ask if anyone knows of anyone whose child has had a diagnosis of Infantile Spasms or " Wests Syndrome " ? This is a potentially very serious form of epilepsy, tends to show up in babies with DS more than in the general population, a friend's son (14 months) was given this diagnosis the last week and we are struggling to find good information on it- apparently the prognosis for babies with Downs is often different than for children in the general population. If anyone knows anything about these disease, please let me know. Any info would be much appreciated.thaksDeisy, Adam's mom (13 months)
Guest guest
www.littlewonders-heather.blogspot.com 's baby, Zoey, was diagnosed about the same age. It was difficult to get her seizures under control but they did have success. is helpful, generous and loves her little buddies who overcome so much. I think she might be a good contact for your friend
Guest guest
My son had this. Very scary time, but he is doing fantastic now. I'd be happy to share information with your friend if she wants to e-mail me.
