Guest guest
My recommendation would be to get a strider bike. If only I had known then what I know now . They are very low to the ground and the kids use their feet to make them go, rather than pedals. Then when they learn how to balance they put their feet up and ride away.......much easier than trying to figure out the pedals, and what you really need to work on first and foremost is balance!! I would get this bike hands down, my older 3 are on a bike racing team and I know someone who used it for their child who had special needs (not ds). I wish I had known about it when Isabella was that age. My typical 2 year old got one and she was riding a two wheeler at age 3 . Here is a ;link, they are many versions out there and if you happen to live in a big biking area like we do, Madison WI, you can probably find one sued on Craigslist. http://www.stridersports.com/ Caroline Our daughter Amina Grace just turned 3 and I am looking for a bike for her. She probably needs something with a belt or low to the ground? Any favorite bikes for a 3 year old? Thanks for the help. Maura
