Betty's in the hospital

On Monday, Betty was diagnosed with pneumonia and the doctor prescribed the

$7.50 ea pills. She took one Monday night and took one again on Tuesday

morning! They are supposed to be 24 hours apart and she did 12 or less. By

the time we got to her SSD lawyer, she could barely walk and couldn't drive

her chair straight. She collided with the desk, taking a chunk out of it,

and was answering questions wrong or not at all. She was acting strange, so

when we got home I put her to bed to sleep it off. She was still sick

yesterday, so she stayed home again and didn't sit the child she had

promised to. This morning, she woke me at 5:30, lying on the floor with her

face pressed into the corner of the top of the night stand, babbling

incoherently and not able to move. I tried to pick her up while calling for

our daughter, but her line was busy, so I was left to do it alone. From the

exertion and finally getting her face off the table, I couldn't stand. My

leg muscles turned to Jell-O. Also, my Sjogren's was bad and I had trouble

talking to the 911 operator. They got her strapped down and took her to the

hospital, thinking maybe a stroke, and after I was able to walk well enough,

I followed. By the time I got there, she was talking and doing much better.

Her blood sugar was 40 and heading down! Now, they can't get it regulated,

it's all over the place.

Now, I'm finding out that I don't qualify for the indigent program because

even though we're married and live together, she doesn't count because she's

not a contributor financially. Does that sound right? Also, they can't add

her to their indigent program because it's been cut off, even though they

are a State run hospital. There's no way we can afford the money they are

talking about. I'll have to vote for Kinky and hope he can solve this

problem. Sorry for the post, things just aren't going well at all, and I'm

depressed, tired, and my eyes are so dry they feel like sandpaper.
