Guest guest
Kathe, I'm going to disagree with your recommendation. My doctor type person gave me a script for some of it and I filled it a few days ago. First, it's a name brand with no generic, so I had to pay $30 for 30 days worth. Second, one of it's warnings that has a large percentage of clinicals quit because of nervousness and insomnia. I took 2 of them and I was climbing the walls from nervousness (up to 23% occurrence), and I already have trouble sleeping so didn't need it from that respect either. Now I have a brand new bottle to throw away, and an earful to give the doc next Monday! I've heard there are lawsuits also, but haven't checked that out yet. I'm going to stay with my Xanax for tension and pain no matter how 'bad it is', according to my doc. I'm glad it works for you, but anybody wanting to take it needs to do a little research because the docs don't do it for you. Guest guest
Dennis, I definitley agree with you about effexor. I have been on it for quite a while now(over 7 months) and tried to go off it with terrible side effects. I became dizzy and nauseous and it got worse as the days passed. When I finally read the side effects about going off it, I went back on. My rheumy is an idiot (I am no longer seeing him) Now I am finally weaning myself off them(I take one dose every 3 days) I did it on my own but really need to do it now as I have no health insurance since my hubby lost his job. Had I know this would have occured, I would have never taken the effexor in the first place. The drug was never explained to me at all. I did not however have any of the side effects you mentioned. take care sandie
