Free Webinar: Partnering With Parents

Partnering with Parents: Using Mobile Devices for Home Programs

Jun 28, 2012 12:00 - 1:00pm Central Time

This free webinar offered by BridgingApps & the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA) will help educators and therapists understand how to get parents/caregivers of children with disabilities familiar with and excited about using the iPad in the home setting. Common barriers for families using iPads in the home and how to help families overcome those challenges will be discussed. This class has been designed with educators and therapists in mind, but parents are welcome to participate. This is the first in a series of 4 free webinars that will be given this summer.

TCEA is the largest state organization devoted to the use of technology in education. BridgingApps has partnered with TCEA to create the Mobile Devices for Children with Disabilities certification. The purpose of the program is to ensure that special education teachers, therapists, parents, and classroom teachers are prepared to effectively implement the use of mobile devices such as iPads and resources with children who have disabilities.
