Our DS association has a pretty positive and helpful site, www.dsaa.info it is for our area but has a lot of good positive kids stories and welcome to Holland on there as well. The blog "Noah's Dad" has a daily one minute video of what life is like raising a baby with Ds http://noahsdad.com/. Also Kelle Hampton has a nice website about life with her daughter http://www.kellehampton.com/. I would also highly recommend giving them this book - Gifts: Mothers Reflect on How Children with Down Syndrome Enrich Their Lives by Lynard Soper and Martha Sears.

How about the book Gifts http://giftsds.segullah.org/ I wouldn't recommend many of the DS books I have read since they can be overwhelming with medical "possibilities". If she is a Christian, God will help her make the right decision and if that angel is meant to bless another family, then that is ok to.

make the website better is a picture of my handsome dude! is 6. How old

is your Luke now?

I don't have contact info for this couple, but I've sent the link to the site to

my friend who does have contact info with them. I told her she could give my

name and email addy to the couple if they would like to contact me. I also live

in OH. She doesn't know where in OH this couple lives. And I don't know when

their baby boy is due.
