Guest guest
That's a really good idea I could definitely try and 's not out anything (ie, pain, discomfort, stress, trauma from the tape) to use a plastic wrap instead. I'll have to let you know how it goes. Thanks. Take care and God bless, Joy Subject: [DownSyndromeInfoExchange] Re: Dx'd without an immune system-No B Cells/Anyone else going thru thisTo: DownSyndromeInfoExchange Date: Tuesday, April 24, 2012, 5:47 PM Joy, We are not dealing with the B-cell of IVIG issue, but I do have a tip on tape that might help you. was diagnosed with AML at 6 months, so he's had his fair share of patches, tape, etc to cover his EMLA cream when preparing to be stuck. In fact, that's where we were earlier today! His skin always reacted to the tape, like 's. Sometimes, the tape being pulled off even leaves scabs. Well, now we cover his tape with kitchen plastic wrap, "Peel and Stick". Or, depending on the location, we just use a little baggie. Right now, they are typically drawing blood from the top of the foot, so I just squeeze not the EMLA and stick his foot in a baggie then slide a sock on. We tried all varieties of medical tape, and none are any good for him. I hope this helps.
