Guest guest
no DVD in mind, but the Teach Me Kindergarten on the Ipad/Itouch is amazing! They have manipulatives, and the concepts of addition and subtraction are really easy to grasp and do on your own this way. love it, my son who never liked math is now playing it several times a week and doing well! Mostly because he can always be persuaded to do his computer programs: Little Reader, Totally Words Picture-Words Matching, Reading Bear, and sometimes Starfall. > > But I don't feel like we have made much progress in math skills. He recognizes numbers to 10 and can count to 10, but he doesn't seem to understand the concept of addition. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good animated DVD that teaches addition. > > He learned all the letters and their sounds when he was 3 1/2 from Leap Frog's Letter Factory DVD. That is a painless way to teach! I know that Leap Frog has a Numbers DVD, but I don't know what it covers. Does it teach numbers beyond 10? Does it teach any addition? Fun animation that demonstrates addition facts while at the same time showing the additon equations would be perfect! > > Thanks! > >
