Guest guest
Kathe, Hi, I know you are a CA girl so I understand that flip flops and casual wear. But please be careful in the flip flops, it is so easy to twist and break something, I keep my Birkenstocks or Ryka's by the bed and put them on upon rising, it really helps my stability. And yes it really does feel good not to wear socks! Hope you are having as nice as weather as we are in central CA (except for the rotton rain this weekend). Please all be careful in summer shoes, that is how I broke my leg! Gentle Hugs & Prayers, Carol M. in CA
Guest guest
Hi Doris: Welcome! You will find that this is one of the best groups on the net - the people here are so caring and supportive, and our moderators and a work tirelessly (well maybe they do get tired once in a while lol) in finding us great information. I have been in the group for about 5 years now, and wish I had found them when I was first dx 3 years earlier, but it's been a blessing nonetheless to have people to talk with who really do understand what you are going through. And I have learned soooo much from this group! I know you will enjoy being here too. Yep, feet are a real problem for me too. I still am able to find shoes pretty well, although I have a wide foot anyway, and still have some that I have laces on, like my riding shoes, but over the years I have been moving more towards those shoes that you can just slip on, or ones with velcro closure like the tennis shoes I found in Wal Mart. Sometimes, though, I like the laced shoes more because my slips ons can become too tight when I am flaring! It's tough to find shoes comfy for all occasions - I have no dress shoes at all anymore. At home, it's just slippers or flip-flops! Kind of like my home clothing too, pull on pants and t-shirts. I have become quite the fashion statement in my quest for comfy, easy wear clothing with these painful hands and feet! Anyway, just wanted to welcome you aboard! Take care - Kathe in CA Kathe " To ride a horse is to borrow freedom. " __________________________________________________
