Guest guest
<http://aapredbook.aappublications.org/site/resources/IZScheduleCatchup.pdf>the Delayed Schedule (not really a schedule at all, they call it a CatchUp Schedule)We can learn some things.1) Hib vaccine. If you delay till age 15 months only ONE dose of Hib needed as opposed to FOUR on the standard schedule if started in infancy. Why the big deal? The PEDVAX Hib (oral) they want to give your baby by his first birthday, has 225 mcg of aluminum (!) but the one approved for 15 months to 4 years of age (Hiberix) does NOT have aluminum (a known neurotoxin, google ncbi christopher shaw aluminum for more info). 2) Pneumococcal vaccine (Prevnar, Prevenar). Delaying till 24 months, only one shot is needed, rather than FOUR if started in infancy. If you wait till 12 months to begin, your baby only needs TWO shots to get protection rather than FOUR if started in infancy! Each prevnar .5 ml dose contains 125 micrograms of aluminum, a known neurotoxin. Even if delaying only a few months, you can reduce your child's need for one or more of each shot, reducing their total toxic load and helping their health. See the above link for the guidelines for delaying shots from the CDC. Liora Pearlman , ModeratorMom Please consider calling me at 5130 3931 or texting 139 1030 6022 if it is time sensitive.
