On the widest and most important level possible I can give an example how this hurts our children. The United States of America is a sovereign nation. We have a constitution and bill of rights that was written specifically to grant the largest amount of power in our local government. "We the People" vote on our local schools, laws, taxes, mayors, school board, city council, etc. It is the way we get things done in our own communities and the best example to show a society that is free. It is also a grand design that gives individuals the power to change things they do not like about their community. Because you vote and you can even get involved in the political process if you have the resolve.So, with that said, the UN treaty would create a level of government you do not get to vote on. One that makes laws about any number of things without your

consent as a voter. The UN wants to make a council to dictate things about the children in your community without the community input. I do not care if it was written by people with disabilities. It did not originate in my area or even my state, and its attempt to circumvent all levels of our rights is insidious and wrong. Even if it sounds all nice and fluffy, just putting an international power as an overseer of something as personal as our children with disabilities is very creepy to say the least.I understand you are from a different country. Not necessarily you, but many people living in countries less free than the United States do not understand what we went through to get away from a government that made decisions on us without our consent. A government that taxed us without giving us representatives. Which is what the UN will do to implement these treaties, and that is not constitutional.

Many people from socialist nations do not understand why we do not want socialist health care. Many people from other countries do not understand why we do not want an international government telling us what to do. It is because they've never know the freedom that we have. We have and we will fight for our freedoms granted to us by our creator, and sometimes we uphold with our very lives. Freedom is something very precious to us, and we won't give it to any international organization.Especially when it comes to our children.Peace, hope that helps.

We must not let it happen! We need you to tell your friends and neighbors about this new UN attempted power grab, and we need everyone to call and

email your Senators, and urge them to vote AGAINST the CRPD treaty. The American public cannot afford for the United Nations to implement regulations that will have devastating effects on every American “person, organization, or private enterprise.†The CRPD Treaty would expand the already growing powers of the UN in the United States, undermining our national sovereignty. These new regulations are so complex that every American citizen will be impacted by their far-reaching consequences. Worse yet, people with disabilities deserve better! Addressing disabilities issues through an international bureaucracy undermines our ability to empower families

and communities to serve disabled people’s needs. As former Senator Rick Santorum, whose young daughter Bella has severe disabilities, declared in his formal statement opposing the Treaty:The CRPD would usurp the rights and powers of parents here in the United States to do what is best for their special-needs child by placing the law of the UN above the rights of the parents. It is the job of our elected representatives to preserve these rights, not hand them off to unaccountable international bureaucrats.The CRPD Treaty will:Exceed the bounds of the Americans with Disabilities Act and eliminate any remaining state sovereignty on the issue of disability law.Demand that all American law on this subject conform to UN standards. Force “every person, organization, or private enterprise†to eliminate discrimination on the basis of disability. This would put impossible burdens and expenses onto private citizens, as they could be held in violation of the treaty if their private property is not fully accessible to persons with disabilities, even if they do not

know any persons with disabilities.
