Ebony:

I am so sorry to hear that the doctor's visit

contained such terrible news about your hips and

hands. There is no rhyme or reason to why RA attacks

some joints, leaves others alone, and devastates some.

Please do not blame yourself for taking the

medications you did - you were trying to get some

control of the RA and did the best you and your doctor

knew how. Who knows how bad it might have been so

much sooner if not for some of those medications? Who

knows if it was the medications that provoked the RA

into activity? No one does. We do what we can, and

do the best we can for ourselves and our bodies. Do

not dwell on what you could have done differently.

What is past, is past, and you have to now decide what

you are going to do from here on out. I know that the

decisions you are going to be making will be

difficult, but I know that you will do what is best

for you in the long run.

I can only imagine how frightened you must be by these

recent events, and how hopeless you must feel in the

face of these new x-ray findings. Please come back to

us soon, we are here to listen and support you. Take

care, Ebony.
