Guest guest
Hi , I was reading this and I take Ultraset. When she gave the prescription she gave me one of Ultram and one for Ultraset. The Rheumy suggested Ultraset, I am wondering if they are related. I don't think Ultraset does a lot but it will take the edge off of the pain. I think I probably need to investigate this. How are you doing? It has been a long time since we spoke. I hope you and your family are all well. I was just thinking is getting near the end of college? Maybe she is in her third year. Isn't it amazing how time just flies by. Thank you for all the help you always provide. (See DRUG ABUSE AND DEPENDENCE.) These symptoms may include: anxiety, sweating, insomnia, rigors, pain, nausea, tremors, diarrhea, upper respiratory symptoms, piloerection, and rarely hallucinations. Clinical experience suggests that withdrawal symptoms may be relieved by tapering the medication. Physical Dependence and Abuse ULTRAM may induce psychic and physical dependence of the morphine-type (?-opioid) (see DRUG ABUSE AND DEPENDENCE). ULTRAM should not be used in opioid-dependent patients. ULTRAM has been shown to reinitiate physical dependence in some patients that have been previously dependent on other opioids. Dependence and abuse, including drug-seeking behavior and taking illicit actions to obtain the drug, are not limited to those patients with prior history of opioid dependence. http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/tramadol_wcp.htm *************************** DRUG ABUSE AND DEPENDENCE ULTRAM may induce psychic and physical dependence of the morphine-type (?-opioid).(See WARNINGS.) Guest guest
Hi, Lynn. Ultracet = Ultram + acetaminophen. I posted this information about tramadol and physical dependence and addiction not to alarm anyone, but rather to show that this information is widely available; it is included in the manufacturer's prescribing information itself. http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic3/ultracet.htm Not an MD I'll tell you where to go!
