Guest guest
Could these be insect bites? You may have gnats, mosquitoes, or biting flies. The voice thing I'm clueless on, except to say that a couple of friends of mine have had laryengitis recently. Sorry, can't be of more help. Have you put the meds you take into google and look to see what the possible reactions are? Sometimes, they have rare but odd side effects and the loss of voice might be one. Just a thought. Guest guest
The mark things sound like classic hives. One way or the other, I'd definitely be showing those to my doc ASAP. Get an appt, and ask his/her nurse on the phone (tomorrow!!) if you can take a short-term anti-allergy med (like Benadryl or whatever they recommend) along with all the other meds you are on. Also, if they itch really bad, you can try some topical Caladryl (NOT plain Calamine lotion...get the stuff with the Benadryl in it, for allergic reactions). You just paint the bumps with it, and it decreases the itch, although I can't say it has ever completely made the itch go away for me. [know this from experience....I'm allergic to so many meds, especially antibiotics...and wool, and red food dye, and bunches of other things...hives are *no fun at all*]. Good news is, if it's hives, they generally aren't life-threatening lol......bad news is, if you are reacting to a med you are taking, or something that is still in your environment, they may not go away without your doc's intervention and/or removal of the irritant. Now if you throat starts closing up on you, and it gets hard to breathe, go to the ER...you may be having a major allergic reaction. No clue on the voice loss, tho...sorry. Hugs, and call your doc! Guest guest
Have you had chicken pox or measles before? When I was 16, the same thing happened to me, turned out to be chicken pox. And, you can get it again, even if you have already had it. What you're describing sounds like it could be chicken pox. The voice thing, no idea. Guest guest
hmmm, no does not look quite like chicken pox, interesting thought, tho. I did have chicken pox as a young child, never had measles, but was vaccinated twice for them, most recently was in 2000. Does not look like shingles, quite, either? - In , Rainy <rainysue19@...> wrote: > > Have you had chicken pox or measles before?
