Guest guest
Hi...Well, the seroma is being stubborn 7 weeks post op...today 530 cc's had to be aspirated. As long as aspiration is necessary, I cannot go back on my Humira and Mtx. My surgeon says if the seroma does not resolve in a short while, he will need to put a drain in, like I had post op. I really want to avoid that as there is a higher chance of infection with the drain than with aspirations, and an infection in that huge incisional area would be awful and even further prolong my staying off my RA meds. I do see my rheumy tomorrow. I don't know if there is really anything else that can be done until the seroma is resolved. Gentle hugs... Guest guest
Tess, I am so sorry you continue to have this problem. I pray it doesn't get to where you need the drain but if you do, is there any precautionary measures they can take to avoid infection? Let us know what your rheumy says about your meds. How is Emma doing? Hugs June ----- Original Message ----- From: Grammi B Hi...Well, the seroma is being stubborn 7 weeks post op...today 530 cc's had to be aspirated.
