Guest guest
Hi All... I was reading some of the post asking about food problems. I personally do not eat red meat at all anymore, and have found it helps me feel better. I try to stick to fish and chicken...and feel the best if I eat lots of green, leafy veggies, carrots, and then only a little chicken or fish. And as for feeling tired...its hard to say right now...because with my broken foot its a struggle to do most anything right now, and I get tired really easily in the heat here. Since I sub teach, I am out of work for the summer, so I try to keep up with the household chores. Also, dealing with this broken foot is no fun either, as I have to keep my walking cast and my knee brace on at the same time...so I am constantly hot and uncomfortable. I did go to a Job Fair here in Houston, and it was nice to get out and feel almost normal. I did get three interviews out of the fair and one local bookseller was interested since I have experience as a manager of a large bookstore. They even said they could accomodate my RA problems and my bad left leg. So I'm hoping for a good result with them...as having a full time job again would really help. Oh...as for Ultram...it works kinda sorta with me. I find it only relaxes me...it does sometimes ease pain...but I have such a high tolerance for pain...it takes really high powered pain meds for me to really notice that the pain goes away. Having lived with the pain for so long ( as I have had severe Osteoarthritis since my early 20's)...I hate to say this...but I am basically use to being in pain all the time. When they found RA...I told them I really only noticed it because the pain was in my right hip, not my knees. I was so use to my knees hurting from all my knee injuries in college, that I really didn't think anything about it until I started running a fever most of the time. Luckily, Embrel has worked so well with me, I really don't have the hip pain anymore. My Rhuemy doc says it has worked for me so well, I could be in one of their commercials. Now if they could find something for the OA pain that worked as well!!! Oh well...that's about it for today!!! Larry Holmack Houston Texas, Bichondaddy1057@...
