Hi guys..

Just wanted to touch base and let everyone know hubby started his

treatment today, He got the shot of interferon. He also had a (and

this was all told to me over the phone so forgive my not having all

the info/saying everything correctly. I'm still learning.) billirubin

issue, which they are treating. I believe that is causing some of his

stomach pain. He is going back in a day or two to get his MELD score

and any other lab results they did today. They, of course, told him

to stay away from sodium.

Does anyone have any suggestions about diet/snacks/drinks?

What you found that helped you get through it?

Food is important to him and I want to make sure he still eats.

Anyway, they said his cirrhosis was minimal-which is great. I am

feeling fairly positive about everything...long term.

Now I'm just worried about how he is going to feel for the next

several months...and how I'm going to be able to help

Also, I saw where someone asked what hospital we went to.....Hubby is

sort of private and doesn't really know I post about him...SO, I

should probably refrain from personal info....does that make sense?

I hope so. You guys are great. I love to read all your messages. THey

are so supportive and informative.
