Guest guest
I take 0.5 mg. Xanax 3x daily, sometimes 4x. It really is just a maintenance dosage-since I've been taking it so long. There is no drug I will ever abuse again. Been there done that although I would LIKE to live in a world of much more Xanax. In 1993 I took 60 1mg. Ativan pills, didn't kill me so I just keep truckin along. The key to this med. is to use it on a " as needed " basis after all cognitive thinking skills have flown out the window>>>>>! I have Generalized Anziety Disorder so I know what the anxious part is. Something I've remembered from drug treatment years ago was to remember the word HALT! when you think of abusing drugs or alcohol ask yourself am I HungryAngryLonelyTired...and then take the time to really listen to your head and heart. Best wishes to you...Debbie2-- In Hepatitis_C_Central , joyceann silva wrote: > > years ago i was prescribed klonoping and ofcourse abused them like crazy so had to coem off >
Guest guest
Im pretty stable now.....finally. I take zoloft 50, seroquel 25, ativan 1 in the morning. At 1PM I take another seroquel 25 and ativan 1. At 6PM I do another seroquel 25 At 8PM I do seroquel 100, ativan 1, and go to bed. The seroquel 100's make me have vivid nightmares, but the ativan calms them down to bad acting re-runs. I know the seroquel is liver un-friendly but its all that works. Ive been on everything in diff combos. If I keep to this mix I can maintain mostly. Few sides and little mood swings, except that Im eating everything that will hold still, and not gaining a pound. Still around 165#. But boy look out if I miss a day. Panic attack from hell, depression to tears, shakes, falling, etc. Some anger, lots of brain fog. Im afraid if they take me off seroquel when I start tx, Im going to lose it. I need a good DO to treat me, but here in toto land they are far and few. So far as june my rating was 1b - 86009 load. Hopefully my body will keep low until 5 years from now when Liz says new drugs will be the norm. Not real sick yet, but sooooooo tired, some bleeding rectal, some stomach ache, lots of london fog. I sleep good and eat pretty good. Little exercize due to tiredness. All in all Im so glad Im not worse. love don in kansas>> years ago i was prescribed klonoping and ofcourse abused them like crazy so had to coem off >
Guest guest
I'm prescribed the exact same doses as you are! I try to take less than 3 per day, and never more, though the waiting for the next dose can be, uhhumm, aggravating? I've been at the same doseage for 20 years. A dear friend of mine was taking 60mg per day, got pretty wacked out, couldn't stop and ended up commiting suicide. Terrible. So, we all have to be very careful. Pain pills, too. I couldn't live without the Xanax, though. I once had a panic attack, called EMT's, and had a blood pressure of 240 over 160. Yeah, that's real! > > > > years ago i was prescribed klonoping and ofcourse abused them like > crazy so had to coem off > > >

Guest guest
sometimes Don you have to weight the pros vs cons and if serequel works for you and you are doing better on it, then you gotta do it and I am sure your doc is watching your liver to make sure it isnt have a detrimental effect.. you know, my doc explained to me that they have to list every possible side effect and that does not mean that everyone has them, so you're lucky and to have found something that helps, well you gotta just take the risk,, I mean, even the treatment meds are risky,, but we take them anyway because the benefit outweighs the risk,, keep doing well Don,, we love ya! jax>> years ago i was prescribed klonoping and ofcourse abused them like crazy so had to coem off >
Guest guest
Rick, then what you're taking is a maintinance dosage as well since your body has more than built up a tolerance to it. I sometimes forget my mid dose until I get to feeling really awful and then realize why. When I was started on them I was prescribed 1 mg. 3x daily and up to 2 more for a panic attack. I weaned myself down to where I am now and have been there for 6 yrs. SIXTY mg. a day! The 1 time I tried that ended me up in Intensive Care. Xanax can contribute to depression but I was depressed long before the Xanax came along and way before I heard of Hep C. Yes, a panic attack is truely like " taking a trip and never leaving the farm " . You know the old saying " Misery Loves Company " , well, I'm just sayin' it's nice to know someone completely understands... > > I'm prescribed the exact same doses as you are!
