Guest guest
I grew up in the SF bay area, but I can tell you that the farm areas of California are also areas of high cancers and other diseases such as autoimmune diseases . It is really from pesticides and chemicals in the water. At least in my opinion. I found out while we were driving to Boise the other day that there is a nice big nuclear dumping site out there in the Idaho desert, so you can't get away from this crap no matter where you go. Sad isn't it. ----- Original Message ----- From: DanzButterflies@... I was literally nauseated from the aroma in the air. I only lived in that region for 8 months. Having moved there from previously living in Sacramento 2 hours away where we ended up after we first arrived to California and was unable to work something out to live in the North of the Bay area. Although I'm not wealthy, I'm in my 30's - closer to 40, having had my mom die from breast cancer and a sister who has had it twice. Good thing we left and weren't there long. ----- Original Message ----- From: Patty Sent: Friday, January 18, 2002 1:28 AM Subject: Fw: Marin has highest breast cancer rate in U.S. ~ 20% rise in cases in one year a mystery Gee, and I wonder why a ton of kids in Fallon, NV have come down withLeukemia? Guest guest
Speaking of nuclear dumping sites...here's an overview map of the nuclear power plants in the world http://www.insc.anl.gov/pwrmaps/map/world_map.html Ok so maybe I exaggerated when it comes to the entire world concerning nuclear power plants in one of my previous posts..but take a look at North America, Europe and East Asia. Another more detailed U.S. map of Nuclear Power Plants: http://www.ne.doe.gov/admin/stratplan-2000-benefits.html Here's another more detailed one for Europe...different site: http://www.ipta.demokritos.gr/erl/info_np.html One more that might be of interest to some, look for the links for the ones in your state: http://www.eia.doe.gov/cneaf/nuclear/page/at_a_glance/reactors/states.html And Yes, quite a bit of farming in California. Although I will say it was one state that was easier to find organic grocery stores, then say Florida and New Jersey. ----- Original Message ----- From: Heer Sent: Friday, January 18, 2002 1:53 AM Subject: Re: Fw: Marin has highest breast cancer rate in U.S. ~ 20% rise in cases in one year a mystery I grew up in the SF bay area, but I can tell you that the farm areas of California are also areas of high cancers and other diseases such as autoimmune diseases .
