Guest guest
Hi Sheena, what brand of ALA did you by at the store? Does it bother your stomach at all? Of course, I have not done treatment and hopefully never will. And I would still use it and all medicinal herbs, antioxidants, all of the above if I were on treatment - you really don't have to be as paranoid as you seem to be about holistic stuff . Many of us have dealt with this disease for decades and learned to use the products that work for us. Your input of your regimen and knowledge is invaluable - especially for someone who was dx'd less than a year ago. "Cold SoresSome patients complain of frequent cold sores. L-lysine taken at the onset of an outbreak can help to prevent or lessen the severity of the outbreak. Mellaluca (tea tree oil) lip gel is also helpful as is Abreva, and other medications prescribed by your physician http://www.hcvadvoc ate.org/news/ newsLetter/ advocate0803. html#2 Cheers! Topically its ok but I was told never to take it internally. If its a swish and spit it may be OK but I consider it a medicinal herb as I am not sure how even a tiny bit would interact with my tradional meds. Have you tried it while on allot of meds and Tx? Guest guest
The one I am using is included in a formulary called Hep C Complete, I'm not sure that they are making that anymore, but it has been working well for me. For the many people who have problems with Supplements, ( I sure did with the B's) you might want to take much smaller doses over a period during the day and always with food. Guest guest
, There are many good brands that I use for ALA. Jarrow, Now ,and Natural Factors are good brands that I've been using for several years. I just get those at the the Sun Harvest Grocery store here in Austin. But you can get any of those brands on line and save some money.
