heyyyyy Penny. i was wondering where you wandered off to. i am really

surprised that i haven't had many side effects either after 3 shots

other then being a little foggy and tired. my treatment nurse told me i

was borderline anemic so i guess i have that in my future but all and

all it's still going to be worth it (fingers crossed). i can't imagine

it could be any worse then a liver transplant.

I was afraid the side effects would be worse than how sick I was

before the transplant, but everybody said it wouldn't be anywhere

near that bad because I was very, very sick before the transplant.

My transplant went very well, and I had a pretty easy time of things,

and I was asleep through it...lol. So it wasn't that hard for me.

I'm glad the treatment is going well for you too. Let's keep our

fingers crossed that the treatment works for all of us that are doing

it.

I had my second shot last night for the Hep C treatment. I haven't hadany side effects at all this time. I feel great! I'm just a little bit tired. My post transplant coordinator called me today to see how I'm doing, and to tell me I need to take a little more of the immunosuppressant drugs. The treatment boosts the immune system, so I have to take more immunosuppressants so I won't reject my new liver.I hope everyone is doing well.Penny

This is great news, Penny! You are an inspiration to us transplanters.

I'm 3 months post tp, and still weak and recovering. Yet, I know I'll

probably have to do tx again in another year. It just terrifies me, as

my 3 prior tx's were pretty horrid experiences. If you can succeed as

you are, then I can, too! Please keep us informed of your progress.

You're doing great! (Do I sound jealous?!!).

we're ready to head home Jan 1, 2009! My main problem is getting my

strength back. This aging crap is a bore!

Hi Rick,

Thanks. I hope you will do as well, and I hope my treatment

continues the way it has been. I'm sorry your recovery is a bit slow

going, but in the end, you should be fine. Some take longer than

others. Three months post transplant for me, I was jumping on my

trampoline...lol. I needed help getting off the toilet and getting

up a couple of steps into our house for the first few weeks, even

after coming home, but I got my strength back pretty quickly. I

walked on our tread mill every day from the day I got out of the

hospital. I'm 45 years old. Can I ask how old you are?
