Guest guest
Hi Lucy: What has your husband been diagnosed with? Sounds like they think he had gout. Did he have blood work? It seems that his work now wants to know if this is a work-related injury, possibly, or that he will try and blame in on his work - they are covering their butts basically. If he is found not to be able to do his work at this time, can't he get disability while he is off work, even for these few days? I don't know much about disability, but others on this board know quite a bit, so you should get some good information on that. I am glad that he seems to be willing to see a specialist whether or not he is showing any symptoms at that time, and that is good. He needs to find out where his problems are coming from. Is it gout, RA, lupus? Some autoimmune problem or something else? You guys need answers, and he needs to be on a treatment program that will allow him to continue working. Your getting a job would be helpful, and would take some stress off of him. Stress can cause so many problems, lack of sleep, pain, so that is a positive step you are making in attempting to find a job for yourself. Good luck, and let us know how it all goes.
