Funny thing, , narcotics do not do anything for the pain, they only confuse

me. Do you have any idea why? Twice I had morphine --not related to RA--

although I specifically told the hospital staff not to give it to me, they did

anyway and the pain remained unbarable.

Well, it's hard to guess without more specifics about what your situation

was, , but:

1) Not all drugs work for all people

2) Opioids don't work well for every type of pain

3) Sometimes a big enough dose isn't given (especially if, in this case,

they gave you oral morphine versus IV) and, subsequently, they are deemed

ineffective
