Guest guest
Hi Are you using FMLA time? I believe you are allowed 12 weeks a year and they don't have to be consecutive days or even hours. If you haven't made out those forms, make sure to do so. I am sick so much and miss alot of work, all documented by doctors, but my employer is starting to get sarcastic about it and I don't know what to do. Thanks,
Guest guest
Hi , If you think you might be applying for disability (social security or LTD from a private company), there is a fantastic group that deals with disability insurance issues. Most of their members have invisible diseases that are hard to document, like Fibromyalgia and CFS, so they need extraordinary help with their employment issues. Several of the people in the group are employment lawyers and legal advocates. Here's the link to the group: Disinissues/ Good luck, and I sympathize. > > Can anyone tell me the most reliable place to go for legal advice > regarding employment and RA? Guest guest
Hi & others, This is Steph in VA. I haven't posted in a long time. Regarding legal advice & FMLA, if your company has under 50 employees within 75 miles they are not required to comply with FMLA. I work for the state of Virginia. My department has 7 employees. Normally, they would not be required to follow FMLA but as a government agency they must. I don't have any experience with legal experts. Take care, Steph in VA (dx'd with RA in 1999, meds are: Azulfidine, Prednisone, Ibuprofen, Folic Acid, Methotrexate, Remicade & Flexerill ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ " Never underestimate the power of a small, dedicated group of people to change the world -- indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.
