Guest guest
Hi Kiwi: Welcome to the group - you will find a lot of very friendly, helpful and supportive people here. We truly know what you are going through. Are you on any medications for your illnesses? Could the medications be causing the spike in your pancreatic enzymes? I certainly hope it is not going to lead to another surgery. I had gallbladder surgery many years ago, and had pancreatitis at that time too, and it was definately no picnic! I am 52, was dx at 45 with RA, and have since been dx with Raynaud's, Fibro, and OA. I take meds for the RA and fibro, as well as for asthma and high blood pressure. So, lots of meds, but they keep me going. We live on a small farm in southern calif with horses, dogs, chickens, ducks, geese, pigeons, doves, and one very grumpy old turkey - we just kind of stay out of his way - he was a 4H project gone bad lol. I try to ride as much as I can, body and weather willing, because it's one of the most therapeutic things I can do for myself - I absolutely love riding and feel " normal " again while doing it. There are several other people in this group who also have various difficulties and diseases of the spinal column, as well as multiple diagnoses. It's not that unusual - seems like you get one autoimmune disease and others just come along and join it. Hopefully, there is nothing too serious regarding the pancreatic enzymes which would lead to surgery - nobody wants that, especially with our weakened immune system - and I hope your doctor takes a look at the meds you are on, if you are, and see if one of them may be causing the problem. You never know - something we take for one thing can often turn out to be bad for another aspect in our health. Good luck and take care - prayers will be coming your way that you are able to avoid further surgery - again, welcome Kathe in CA __________________________________________________
