Guest guest
well, the prednisone I am taking while waiting for my Humira to arrive from my meds by mail program has given me energy....and taken away lots of my pain and swelling etc. So.....after being so ill for what? 5 yrs? I have begun to re-emerge in my life again. BUT yikes, after being so sick for so long..everything fell into such a mess, it is truly horrible. I began working in my yard, my poor gardens are SO overgrown with weeds, cuz yes it has been 5 years since I have been out there at all. I have been slowly raking etc .... slowly trying to build strength and gain energy etc.....it is so hard, I am so weak...but slowly I can see I am finally getting somewhere out there. Truth is I last maybe an hour, if I amlucky and have to go slow and gentle. SO today I was working and happy and all the good stuff. It was ohot and sunny and dh worried I might burn badly so.LOL- he made me come in out of the sun. LOL. So I reluctantly came in and showered. When I got out of the shower- the sky got dark with an unforecast storm. It did not really rain, but it thundered and the wind got very ugly. For the last month I have enlisted everyone who comes near my house to pick up sticks and branches out of the yard. we finally finished that yesterday. WELL.....ACK! the wind brought down half of my remaining maple tree in back yard in 6 parts - BIG parts and half of the maple out front. My yard now looks just like it did a month ago! <sigh> we live " in " town and have a small lot, with close neighbors..(who do not like us) They have been quite disgusted the last few years since I got sick becuz my dh had been sick for so long and I had to do yard work myself.....I was sohappy to have the yard looking semi reasonable..and began seeding the lawn this week....and now this. :-( And of course my neighbors do not understand just how hard the work was for me to accomplish or how short money is for hiring someone to do it (with us both on soc sec disability and still trying to raise 3 kids) The storm did not even make the news, but it left more debris in my yard than any of the last decade..... Ug back to the starting line. Tomorrow. whew, now I feel better. Thanks. :-)
