mine settled in my right sinus. it started about march too. went to the doc

Tues. and he put me on a decon.and antibi. which is DOXYCYCLINE 100 mgs. 2x a

day for 2 weeks and a saline spray 2x a day i also went off my metho. for a

week and staying off enbrel for 2 weeks . as of sat. the 27th it is clearing

up. FINALLY. Hope this helps you . your

anti-biotics..None seem to touch it. First the doc put on Zithromiacin. I

tried Kflex, has always worked in the past, didn't touch it. Then he tried

Cipro, didn't touch it. The doc said it was nothing but allergies and he

prescribe allergy meds, didn't help. I knew they wouldn't because I felt as

though it was an infection...I have never had bad allergies. Then he did a

culture of the yucky stuff that comes out of my sinus area in the morning, the

rest of the day the drainage is clear....The result was that I

had a fungus/yeast infection....Doc put me on diflucan, didn't help, Then he

thought a second go around of diflucan would work. Well guess what it's still

there. When this first started I had my regular appt. with my rheumy.. He

suggested that I go off the MTX....I did and boy have I been in a huge flare up

ever since...Went back on the MTX but still in a huge flare.....I have never had

a flare so bad as this before all this started.....I have heard that many people

have been suffering from the same symptoms for months.....They don't have

RA,,,,and aren't suffering a double whammy...I see my rheumy on Tuesday and I

intend to corner him on what do due.....I also will call my regular doc and

insist he refer me to a specalist. Ear,nose and throat doc... I know how you

feel...Some days it feels as though it is going away only to wake up the next

morning with it back in force....The dripping down my throat is driving me

nuts....I sure hope that the specalist can diagnose

this crap,,,yes that's what I have now referred to it as...and prescribe

something that will make it go away....Do you have the same symptoms a I do?????

I live in Southern California,,,Where do you live????? Please let me know what

your doc says and if he prescribes any meds what they are....I will discuss them

with my doc.....I sure hope you can get well. Take care,

has anybody experanced any sinus problems like infections that is hard to

get rid of. i have had problems for months went off enbrel for 2 weeks and

started up again and the next day bam there it was again . so going off it

again. guess i'm going to have to break down and go to doc..
