Guest guest
Wow, can't believe it's been almost 2 months since my last post. Had knee replacement on May 2 and a few weeks later had a horrid flare-up of RA and Fibro. Wow, if anyone ever tells me again they hurt I will believe them. Was about 6 weeks late getting the Remicade infusion so guess that attributes to the pain. How lucky so many of you are that you are able to take other meds to help out. Arava is the only med that causes no problems for me. Took about a week after the infusion before I was able to notice a difference but still have severe pain in the wrists and shoulders. The rheumy decided to add methadone to my list of meds but I don't believe I'm going to take them as they are very, very serious. Anyways, I'm proud to announce that the " bone doc " told me last week it was okay to begin an exercise program as long as I don't do any impact exercises. Am thinking of joining Curves for Women as I hear they are really super; however, I still have neck surgery to go through (Oct 21 auto accident) and that's scheduled for June 26. I'll be so happy to have all this finished with as I'll be on top of the world then. For the person that wrote about the cost of syringes for injections, they do cost (nothing is free anymore), and I have about 5 boxes (100cc) just sitting here. I was on standard insulin a while back for diabetes, and am now using the insulin pens. I didn't throw the syringes away so if you are interested (anyone), please email me and I'll be more than happy to mail them to you. BVAN - I miss hearing from you!! Do pray that all is well for you and yours. Sharon
