Hi Kat !!! How are you holding up ??? We didn't scare ya away :o) I'm So Glad

you have joined us... We have the winds coming here tomorrow in Ohio, so you

will probaly get them the next day :o( Are you capable of still walking???

Or do you have one of those nasty wheelchairs too ??? Well, I guess I can't

say nasty, they DO get us around when need be :o) So far I haven't had to use

mine this year :o) That I am Very Greatful For :o)

Why are you feeling down Kat ??? Just one of those days ??? You will Always

have Friends here... Remember that, alright ???

Hi Helen, yup i joined, you didnt scare meIm so happy for you!!! You havent used

your wheelchair this year.well yes i can walk but i have to use a cane. A cane

is a big nuisance, but it sure helps. I go to Burlington to a surgical team to

see if theyll operate or what? Im not looking forward to that trip. hugs, kat

The trip is 3 hours each way. My butt doesnt take it. My butt goes to sleep and

im still awake. Oh well, I watch the country side. Once in a while you kinda

Three hours is an eternity !!! Pull over and Stretch every half hour, it does

help.. Takes a lot longer, but then you can handle it better...

It was 3 hours up and 3hours back. I go back as an emergency June 3. I see a

neurosurgeon then i have major back surgery. When i dissapear youll know why and

ill be back as soon as i can. We only stopped twice for the ladys room. hugs,

kat PS> im so nervous and scared.

Are you having your surgery up there or just testing ??? Six hours round

trip is SOOOOO Tiring :o(

I'm so sorry your are so frightened... I would be too !!! Now just exactly

what are they going to do to your back ??? How long will you be laid up ???

Hi Kat,

I was lucky enough to not get RA until I was 60 and already retired. Of

course I would have been even luckier if I hadn't gotten it at all. I

was a teacher, so my supplementary insurance to Medicare is the state

Blue Cross Blue Shield. The state plan still helps pay for

prescriptions, so I didn't have to decide on a Medicare Part D, thank

goodness. I think that Humira is about the same price as Enbrel, which

I am on. Both cost about $13,000 a year. My co-pay per month is $50.

It sounds as though you have a wonderful rheumy. How generous he is

with his time. I hope the Humira continues to work for you.
