Guest guest
The scale gives you a definition of athlete mode which is someone who works out 10 hours or more a week and who has a resting heart rate of 60 beats per second. They don't give you a definition for professional athlete or bodybuilder. I am assuming it is someone who works out ALL the time (as their profession maybe). Wow, according to Tanita's charts 15% bodyfat is way underfat!!! I think that 22% and up is considered healthy on the charts that they show... BMI is entirley different than body fat, isn't it??? That's just a number that is calculated from height and width, right? There isn't any indication of muscle with BMI, right?? Please correct me if I'm wrong, but that's just what I thought anyway. I don't know what to tell you if the you think the scale is right for you or not. It is suppose to be as accurate as the underwater measuring (sorry, don't know the exact terminology). So far, it has been pretty consistent w/ it's measurements. One of my friend's weighs ten pounds less than I do, is an inch taller than I, but has almost ten percent more body fat than I do. Another friend weighs about 2 lbs less than I do, we are the same height and she had almost 20% more body fat!! It's truly amazing to me how it works and how much more muscle weighs than fat. Everybody is so right about saying the scale means nothing!! Let me know what you decide on the scale Darcy who hopes that this e-mail isn't too oddly written.... > Does the scale info give you a definition of professional athelte or body > builder?
