Guest guest
I have the fatigue too. I have to stop for a rest a few minutes when washing clothes, doing the dishes, cooking or many of the household chores that used to take me 20 or 30 minutes to do. they now take hours. Even more than the fatigue is the weakness. Enbrel helped w/this initially but then stopped and medrol dosepaks helps. but w/the weakness, i have to push off from the bed with the back of my head using my neck muscle and elbows to come to a sitting position. it feels as if I am lifting 200-lb weights to come to a sitting position. so that I have very sore neck muscles most of the time. my stomach and thigh muscles are extremely weak. so could probably beneifit from some phys. therapy and weight training. Guest guest
Oh my gosh!!!!!! I have had the fatigue problem for years and I just thought it was all in my head. I'd think about going down stairs to do a load of laundry and had a hard time going because of how awful I feel when I come back up the stairs. Well, thank you all. It is good to know it is part of the illness and not all in my head. Robin [ ] Re: Fatigue Me too. I have the fatigue too. Guest guest
Add me to the list. I get fatigues if I overdo chores or other things. I just got home from spending 20 minutes walking back & forth in my gym's pool. Now I am way tired! First time trying it. It was recommended for my very sore hip related muscle. See how I feel tomorrow. I took a Medrol pack for it which helps few days. Now painful again. Can't take anymore steroid till after my allergy test tomorrow. Hello all; I have been trying to lurk here, so haven't contributed a lot. There are so many interesting posts here that I can't get time to read all of them as I become so exhausted some times I nearly fall asleep on the computer. I seem to have enough reflex that catches me before my head hits<G> How lucky can one get?<G>I really think it's my Guardian Angel just carefully holding my head before it hits. Kathy (I think it was) wrote such a great post back a while and I can't seem to find it again but it is one of the best discriptions of RA symptoms that I have run across. I try not to be depressed and really didn't realize i was because I couldn't think of any thing I should be depressed about nor anxious about (have been able to pretty much accept the situation,) but finally realized it is the constant fatigue and pain that took the edge off my normally positive outlooks. I really appreciate all the posts. Thought I might have been some what of a ninny. Leo/lee
Guest guest
Hi all: I think we can all say we're fatigued at times. Sometimes I can be sitting in a chair an feel like I'm running as race. An be totally fatigued sitting still. You feel like someone pulled the enegry out of you. RA is hard to live with. Right now I'm doing OK!!! But I don't know what the future holds. I worry about it!!!!
