Trudy,Flexeril is a muscle relaxer for occasional use. Not steady dosing. You can use it for days on end though. When used in combination with Vicodin or Norco it can provide some pretty heavy duty pain relief. I use it when the Elavil isn't holding up. Is flexaril pain med for occasional use like darvon ? The Elavil @ 75 mg does nothing for the Fibro...dissapointed cause the Cymbalta made it where I had NO pains; but I couldnt tolerate Cymbalta. The Elavil is for deppression...sometimes I need something more. I know it's probably normal to get a bit deppressed when I look in the mirror or think about where I am at in myife right now. Elavil has stopped the stupid hair-trigger temper; WoW was I ever irratible! And no patience at all ( still don't have much patience, but now I keep it to myself! I have Darvon for when the pain gets bad but can't take it after 5:00 ( remember the sleep walking ?!) and the pain doesn't get bad until I have been up awhile, like about 6 or7.So I haven't taken anything for pain lately. But I'm only up about 2-3 hrs at a time. Body just insists on multiple siestas each day.http://facebook.com/people/andTrudy-Kinsey/1340460877 " "A well- behaved woman never made history"...Mae Westhttp://oktravels.wordpress.com http://allrecipes.com/cook/TrudyK/profile.aspx On Sep 15, 2010, at 12:20 PM, Teri Gottlieb <theresagottlieb@...>

The Elavil has helped my Fibro quite a bit actually. I am only taking 20 mgs a day of it.. I do double up on a bad day. The Davon is a pretty heavy hitter. I'd see if they'd switch that to a Norco. Have them give you the 5mg ones and if one doesn't work you can take 2. Just eat before you take them cause they can make you a bit queasy. If sleeping is working then by all means sleep. That cycle will change once you're a few months into treatment. I just have this feeling with as frail as you are right

now treatment might slam you for a bit. I know you're prepared for it so that's a good thing. Hang in there sweetie. This has been a rough road for you and the first shot of treatment hasn't even started yet. We're all here with you. I am prepared . But I'm stubbornly thinking for less trouble.Because of the problems I have, two other Hdocs have refused TX for me, just based on the pains I have already. But instead of getting better, I have learned how to cope and then a new something creeps in. The post Debbie Curwick made on FB about the odd Fibro symtoms described me to a tee. I didn't associate all of it to fibro tho. My tremor is especially bad today. I tried to take my nap after being ip a couple of hours, but the twitching of my throat kept me awake. Aww heck, I'm ready for TX. Can't finish a journey without completeing the first steps.I have a bad feeling about this. I will be leaning on y'all a lot. Thanks for being just who you all are. You give me courage.http://facebook.com/people/andTrudy-Kinsey/1340460877

Trudy,

I thought of you and Teri both when I shared that link. I have restless leg

syndrome and sometimes I get that electrical shock feeling in my legs, mostly

when I'm trying to go to sleep and that reminded me of Teri with her shocking

TrudyI'm still thinking that you should wait until they find out about these other problems What's another month in the life of Trudy??Gloria

Is flexaril pain med for occasional use like darvon ? Or a steady dose like Gabapentin & Elavil?http://facebook.com/people/andTrudy-Kinsey/1340460877 " "A well- behaved woman never made history"...Mae Westhttp://oktravels.wordpress.com http://allrecipes.com/cook/TrudyK/profile.aspx On Sep 15, 2010, at 12:11 AM, Teri Gottlieb <theresagottlieb@...> wrote:

I had shingles when I was 21. Horrible, worse than childbirth. Lately just past month I get burning nerve pain like shingles. Alwaysi. The heel of my left palm and left breast. Then sometimes it travels to include right side. Several times a day. Last only a few mins each time. Wierd. Quess it's the fibro or MS...dunno...http://facebook.com/people/andTrudy-Kinsey/1340460877 " "A well- behaved woman never made history"...Mae Westhttp://oktravels.wordpress.com http://allrecipes.com/cook/TrudyK/profile.aspx On Sep 15, 2010, at 7:30 PM, "sparkles43d" <sparkles43d@...> wrote:

Trudy,

I thought of you and Teri both when I shared that link. I have restless leg syndrome and sometimes I get that electrical shock feeling in my legs, mostly when I'm trying to go to sleep and that reminded me of Teri with her shocking feelings.

Remember, Hubby can only stay here 6 months longer; I am running out of time cause I will have to travel with him. His employer has made special arrangements for us to stay here all this time. Six months and time is up. And the docs have been chasing down my problems for a year almost. I feel we are closing in but I need to go ahead with tx now.http://facebook.com/people/andTrudy-Kinsey/1340460877 " "A well- behaved woman never made history"...Mae Westhttp://oktravels.wordpress.com http://allrecipes.com/cook/TrudyK/profile.aspx On Sep 15, 2010, at 9:09 PM, Gloria <gadamscan@...> wrote:
