Hi Lynda,

I aked my endo for a recommendation, and he recommended a colleague of

his who was absolutely wonderful. Alas, he relocated to Atlanta, and I

tried another rheumy there, but he didn't work out. Then a friend

recommended her rheumy, and I tried him. So far I like him, not as much

as my first one, but then everyone can't be perfect. It is a very

important decision, so if you try one and don't like him, you can

always try another one.

My PCP sent me to an orthopod, who sent me on to my rheumy (whom I

absolutely adore), but I've been please with every specialist my PCP

has sent me to except one. I adore her, too.

Where are you? That might mean more - or fewer - choices. If you

have a medical school nearby, that might be a good place to look for a

doc who is up on all the latest meds, etc.

Good luck, I think finding the right rheumy is one of the most

important things we can do for ourselves.
