Guest guest
I am home from a 17-day trip out West, where I saw some awesome sights. I came home with a souvenir that I didn't want: a stomach virus. Since we were cooped up in a bus very close together for long periods of time, it spread pretty readily even though the first one to get it left the tour. Since my immune system is compromised by RA and suppressed by Enbrel, of course I got it. Last Friday and Saturday I had diarrhea and thought that I might have the virus. But I seemed to be better on Sunday. Then Monday when my friend and I were flying home to North Carolina, I had diarrhea again, in one of the airports and on one of the planes. I felt nauseated, but didn't throw up on the plane, thank goodness. I had to ride 40 miles to my friend's house, then drive 15 miles to my house. I stopped at CVS to get some medicine, and the pharmacist recommended Immodium and Emetrol. As I waited in line to pay, I had to rush out and throw up on their sidewalk. When I got home, in spite of the medicine, I had to keep on throwing up. I guess it's better to get it on out. Today, two days later, I'm better, but my stomach still hurts and food is repugnant. This was a miserable end to a wonderful trip. Sue
