Welcome! The people in this group are wonderful, and

offer so much unconditional support and friendship,

and our moderators, and a, keep us up on the

latest in medical news, and also have resources for

just about every question you might have regarding

your diagnoses. I am sure you will really like it

here.

I have had RA for 8 years, and was dx two years ago

with Fibromyalgia and also OA. I take meds for the

fibro and RA, and also for high blood pressure and

asthma. So, lots of meds! But they keep me going.

How long have you been taking the Prednisone and

Methotrexate? Do you take Folic Acid too? How were

you diagnosed - by blood work? It takes some time for

the medications to begin to work, as they must build

up in your system. So, it takes some patience,

unfortunately, and I know how hard that can be when

you are in pain, and just want it to stop.

Are you under treatment by a rheumatologist? How long

have you had symptoms? Why did the doctor change his

mind from RA to lupus? I sure hope you get a certain

diagnosis soon, although I am sorry you might have

either of these diseases.

You will find a home here with us. I am sorry you do

not get the support you need at home, it's hard for

loved ones to understand sometimes, because we still

look the same as we always did, and now we are in so

much pain, and fatigue, and they just don't understand

what has happened to the person they love. Well, we

really understand what you are going through, and you

are not alone.
