It still may be another month before I can go on RA meds again...it's a appointment by appointment thing. I don't remember if I've ever been nauseous with a flare before, but does that happen? My surgeon asked me today. My memory is foggy, and I am really tired. Love to all... Tess
Guest guest
Hi Tess, Sorry to hear you having such a rough time recovering from your surgery. Nausea can be caused by not eating enough or enough protein. I know you said your appetie is off...please keep in mind that not enough protein will slow healing dramaticly. I would try some protein shakes, pudding or other high protein suppliment. I keep protein powder or ready to drink for times when I am not feeling well and not able to eat as well as I should. You can also be dropping your blood sugar as well. Dehydration also leaves one with foggy thinking as well and can make you nauseated. I would go back to some of your post-op diet ideas. Going back to six small meals a day and supplimenting with high protein. Lots of water. Making sure you are taking your recommend viatmin suppliments daily. See if going back to basics does not help. I would also ask your doc to check your bloodwork. If albumin levels are too low as well as B-vitamins that could be why you are feeling so poorly. Our eating requirements change when we are healing and if you are a gastric bypass patient its even more due to malabsorption. I would also recommend a group called OSSG-gone-wrong. They are great with suggestions that most docs miss. Its a great group of ladies. Toni > > Hi Friends...I saw my surgeon again today, and they aspirated another 460cc's of fluid.
