Guest guest
Blue Cross finally approved it yesterday - and there was a cancellation so I was able to get in this morning! Had to leave the house at 7AM, which for me is practically the middle of the night. I don't usually get to sleep until around 2AM, so getting up that early was really hard. The MRI was pure torture. For a breast MRI, they give you an IV with a dye solution, and then make you lay face down ( with openings for your breasts) because the coils of the machine are underneath you. I never knew that. The table is hard, you put your hand straight out over your head (can bend the one with the IV in it at all) and you have to be completely still for 20 minutes. The pressure on my chest made it really hard to breath, and by the end, I was starting to go numb in my hands and fighting to keep from shaking. To say nothing about what it was doing to my bad (OA) knee. I'm sitting here now, with my heating pads, trying to get my muscles to relax a little bit. I have a consultation with the surgeon on Tuesday, will get the results then. Please keep me in your prayers that they don't find anything new.
