Guest guest
Thanks for bringing up the subject. However, I will suggest to all women and all men who care about them, that anytime you even suspect anything wrong with your heart, tell the ER people you know you are having a heart attack and make sure they put the heart monitor on you. If you don't you don't lose anything, if you do, you have everything to gain. My experience: I went to the ER early AM because I was having excruciating chest pains. The ER personnel decided that I was not an emergency case, stuffed me with narcotics and let me sit there for hours. In the end, some idiot decided the I was having kidney stones and that I needed surgery asap. That is when they finally put the heart monitor on me and realize I was having a massive heart attack and it was not until 9 PM that something was done about it. No that did not happen in a small rural 2-bit hospital, it was at Northwestern U. in Chicago, as they like to claim, one of the best hospital in the country. The best thing about that hospital is their PR. I am still outraged. Us women have to be more aggressive and our health problems. Don't let something like this happen to you. <Matsumura_Clan@...> wrote: HeartHealthyWomen Signs and symptoms of heart attack: http://www.hearthealthywomen.org/patients/treatment/signs__symptoms.html Not an MD I'll tell you where to go! Guest guest
You are not alone in this one. three years ago my SIL died after having many small attacks..She finally had one massive one that killed her and her mother found her dead on sofa one morning. The really sad thing is that her docs kept saying she was faking and that there was nothing wrong with her. Yes, there is a major mal-practice suite in the workings. I would also remind everyone too...that many times black women get ignored even more so than caucasian women and if you are obese that is another thing added into the mix. It is very sad. My SIL was 38 yo when she died!
