Guest guest
Hi All, I had a couple of questions when I was and still am giving myself these shots. I read the paper in the package of shots and it's got a 800 number for you to call and get answers. These were the questions and answers she (the nurse) gave me. 1. Why is the needle bigger on the once per week shot? A. In the manufacture of the pre filled injection, it's the smallest needle they can use. 2. Why does the needle have a burning feel? A. There is a preservative on the needle, on all needles, on both kinds of weekly shots (2 or 1 shot per week) still have the perservative. Plus they have many complaints about these first two questions. I was taking the 2 shot per week and my RA doc said ...try this one per week. Myself, I don't like it, so I want to go back to the 2 per wk. I thought they might change and discontinue the 2 shot system so.... 3. Are you still going to make the 25mg shot? A. YES, because the young (babys thru teens) cannot take the 50mg shot. It's to strong for their system. So finally if you want direct answers it's your right to call and ask. When you call....ask for a nurse. The operator is not qualified. I hope this helps.............keep well.
