Guest guest
you probably did see Stanwood on the news. At my kids' school---the janitor was arrested for being a pediphile. They found stuff on his computer. Whats sad is I have known the man for about 25+ years. He used to go to our church---in fact----his dad was our pastor!!! He also worked for the school district for over 30 years. Our school district is small. The school my kids' go to is clueless when it comes to any sort of disorders. I guess as long as he still does well--I'm not too worried. They are aware of everything--but because he isn't cognitively delayed--they won't let him go to the other school. I'm just waiting to see what comes of all of this. Holly ---6y on Saturday.

I've been taking 20 mg of Lortabs, but that hardly works, and hot baths work a little bit. Anybody else have this problem, and what seems to help you? I haven't experienced this type of pain in a long time, and I need to make it to work tomorrow. Thanks!! Holly
Guest guest
Hi Holly....this mess is such a freaking nightmare. When I clean I only wear my PJ's with no shoes. I want to "feel" the things if I can. I know that I can get them off me instantly with the raid............I know....it's a hell of a way to live but what ever we have in this house actually hurts......not just itch it hurts. So we aren't afraid of the raid any more than we are afraid of the things. My hands are usually down in a bucket of Clorox water and I rinse really well after cleaning and spray the raid. Then they are gone as long as I don't go looking for them. Holly what we are seeing here is something very different from the last 2 years of living with this. When they get on us now like today, they don't bite. They don't swarm.....it's just the slow crawling. I am beginning to think that the dry air has killed the adults and what we are left with are the strange stage of what ever they are that crawls. The crawling ones won't show up under the black light.....just the "other" stages of the things. I'm trying to figure the things out and what I'm seeing is different from the last two years of living with this. They don't bite.....just crawl. I think we are seeing the end to the things......I sure hope so because when I felt the things in that closet I wanted to set my house on fire.......I have got to be stronger than that!!!!! How are you and the little ones? Rita Re: Jeff a question Rita, do you protect yourself while cleaning. Like wearing olive oil, or maybe vaseline? I was thinking maybe you can wear elbow or shoulder length gloves, and cover them in vaseline, along with the rest of your body, and wear synthetic clothing, and a shower cap, to protect yourself while cleaning out your storage areas. Just an idea....Hollyha ha i just re-read this, i might as well have said wear a full body condom lol.> > Jeff,> >> > I am sure you are getting many questions in regards to the dehumidifiers> > since you are now on the 5-7 people who have actually beat this thing and> > many hundreds who still have it and are living daily with the nightmare> > prayer it will just someday end.> >> > So, my questions...and by the way thank you too, for still helping and> > answering questions to us who are seeking even though you are rid of your> > bird mites.> >> > 1. Guest guest
Oh Rita, What a nightmare!! I am so sorry you had to go through that. It sounds like you have your system down, and know what you are doing. Its almost like a ghost in the closet or something. It all sounds so creeeepy. Im about to rain hell on these things. I cant take it anymore. I dont know whats worse, my husband or the things. My baby scooted out of our bed today and hit the floor. I was trying to get some cleaning and laundry done. This is the third time that this has happened. I feel so guilty. I cant get my husband home long enough to take her crib apart and move it into our bedroom. And she wont sleep in it where it is. So guess what im doing later. Just goes along with the bad week i was already having. They are putting us through HELL!! Its all i think about!! I feel so OCD paranoid all the time. Im so ready for this nightmare to be over FOR ALL OF US!! Im working out avenues to get my dehumidifiers and its D-Day for buggies. It feels good to know that the dehumidifiers are working. Hang in there, and we will all be mite free with time. Guest guest
Hi Rita, I wanted to thank you again for kind words. Also wanted to let you know that it seems like we are going through some of the same thing. Since I moved into my new apt Its been more crawling with little bitting for me. When I first moved the crawling was so bad it felt like there was a mini invisible kniting circle in my clothes. Jus non stop prickly crawling that was enough to make you go mad. I still have a small amount of that going on on and off but, even the few I feel on my shoulder or around my hip or the one thing that feels like it is rolling down my side periodicaly is agravating. I understand what that is like. I get to the point where I think if I only have a few of these doing this then why can't I just get rid of them. I hope you are coming to a close with this also. It would be nice if we could all just get rid of these things once and for all. My best wishes to your striff. Hugs, J. Guest guest
Holly, I know your message was for Rita but I wanted to send some positivity your way. I am sorry you are having to go through this with out your hubby's support. It makes it tuffer especailly when you have little ones and its hard I am sure to even pin point which needs to address first everything becomes important the kids needs, the need to maintain the bug problem, feelings about your relationship, and your own needs. And the worst thing is that you can't do everything so many things get sacrificed for what ever the greater good is at the time. To top it off that feeling of just having to succumb to things because something is preventing a step or to in the game plan. Its so tuff. I want to send you a hug and I wish I could be more helpful then that. You are a tropper woman. Going through all of this and you are still able to show so much concer for the little ones too. Guest guest
Rita: I find myself reading your posts with "awe" I like the way you explain everything in detail, and I know the other members are just hanging on your every word. It's like a page turner book, but we are all living in those pages. Lately, I have been using the Lysol Sanitizing Wipes on my computer mouse. they are gentle enough to not cause any damage to the mouse, so, finally, I am not getting bites from the computer mouse. thank God for that!!! and I ordered a dehumidifier for my car. I hope it works in the car!! Will save me a bunch of money on that co2 that I use. mel From: Rita and Mike Carlson <m.r.carlson@...>Subject: Re: Hi Hollybird mites Date: Friday, October 17, 2008, 4:22 PM Hi Holly....this mess is such a freaking nightmare.
