I have had problems with bursitis in both my shoulder and my hip, my

rheumy gives me cortisone injections which help a lot. He also gives

me cortisone injections for my knee, where i have a torn meniscus.

Problem is that he limits the cortisone injections to one every 3

months at most - he prefers at least 4-5 months, but sometimes the

pain is just too much. The limits are because of the prednisone, I

already have so many steroids in my body. The PT gave me exercises

for my shoulder to build up the muscles, which releives the stress on

the joint. Sometimes it's hard to tell where one thing leaves off and

another one starts, since I have a lot of infalmmation in my

shoulders, but one cortisone injection seemed to do it for my hip.

Hi !

When I began taking my NSAIDS my doctor recommended

Prilosec (over the counter) or she said she could

prescribe Prevacid which was in the same class as I

would need to be on something to protect my stomach.

This seems to be helping so far:)
