Guest guest
Paige, I take Imuran for my RA. I didn't want Mtx because of the side effects that I'd read about. Imuran is prescribed for me to get me off the Prednisone. You don't want to be on that any longer than necessary. It's a good/evil drug. We love it, and we hate it. Guest guest
Hi, I was reading these messages, and a lot of people have said they take folic acid with methotrexate. I was just wondering if anyone takes any supplements with sulfasalazine? I always feel really sick after taking it, the feeling goes away gradually, but if there's a way to stop feeling sick i'd love to know!! Guest guest
I, too take sulfasalazine along with prednisone (8mg), celebrex, calcium (to counter the prednisone effects on my bones), folic acid (to prepare for starting a family), and iron. Some time after I started the sulfasalazine my stomach was always upset and my doctor recommended two things, one to only take the meds right after you have eaten a full meal and two, to add prilosec once a day to help protect my stomach. Hope this helps! Cat > > Hi, I was reading these messages, and a lot of people have said they > take folic acid with methotrexate. Guest guest
I was taking Prilosec OTC as needed, but it gets expensive having to take them daily. At first, I could wait 2-3 days, but it ended up being one a day, so, I started breaking them in half and taking one half each morning with my other meds. Now if I need more, I take a Rolaids to supplement. It works for me.
