To Dr. Kolb, I have had a hair analayis which has not done anything for me, but

is all about you making money off us sick disabled people. I am one of the

fortunate ones who functions at 10 percent of a real person. I think your

supplements are WAY OVER PRICED. I can get the SAME supplements you sell for

half the price. You seem to be about the american dollar. Oh yeah I have a

bridge I would like to sell you for cheap, which one would you like to buy, the

London Bridge or the Sanfransico bridge? It might make you feel better too! I

think you feed off the sick ill women and promise them hope. WEll Miss Kolb

WHERE are all the implant people you have cured? It has been 2 years, and my

health is getting worse.I am to blame, I put the implants in, there was no gun

to my head. But it is people like you who really just want to make money! I am

alot wiser and smarter than you think. I used your protocol, vitamins, ect.

Where are all the women you 'made better that could not walk down the stairs, or

where in bed for a year. AND why do you have Salines if you were " supposidly so

sick from your Silicones...Do you have proof you were sick from silicones???WE

will never know will we???? YOu put the poision in, yet you take them out. Must

be nice to live the good life, in a nice house. Hope you can look yourself in

the mirror everynite and be happy with yourself! I really think you should stop

trying to publisize your business on the internet, because my friend went to you

for explant,,,,and I have no comment on it.........MissBoop...P.S. If you write

back I will not be reading anymore emails I am officially off the group because

I don't believe you are honest...By the way, You cannot get me for slander,

because this is AMERICA and we have the write to FREEDOM OF SPEECH!!!!!P.s I

don't see any other dr.s trying to get clients to come and see them.....you must

Thank you Dr. Kolb. Will you not say what other doctors do (be it good or bad) out of professional courtesy? Legally speaking, as long as the information is true, it's not slander. I welcome your honesty as I have already been hurt by one PS. Thank you.

Thanks Dr. Kolb.

I'm going to check into getting Angelika to a homeopath close to her in North

Carolina. I agree with you that it's essential to go through a detox program

straight away after being explanted. This should be a part of the ongoing care

the surgeon gives to the patient.

Take care,

Dr. Kolb:

Hi. When I called Dr. Feng's office, her nurse told me the Dr. Feng being

a micro-surgeon was vitally important in have a mastopexy and this is why (using

micro-surgical instruments) would yeild better results. Can you please clarify

what the differences between microsurgical instruments and standard surgical

instuments would be as far as the outcome of scars woulb be. told me it

makes a huge difference.

Thanks.

Dr. Kolb: You may have mentioned this before - but did you say that you

could remove saline implants and capsule that are under the muscle under

local anesthesia with sedation?

Thanks

is misleading you in order to get business for Dr. Feng. Microsurgery

is not used in mastopexy. Check any plastic surgery textbook. I have

removed submuscular implants using local with sedation as I have an

exceptional anesthesiologist that I work with who is capable of providing

this type of anesthesia. .

: Research plastic surgery texts to understand why microsurgery has

nothing to do with mastopexies. I really doubt that Dr. Feng would endorse

these claims. .

Do you use dissolvable stitches and are the internal or external. This is

really important from what I have seen anyway.

Tell us what kind you use please?

I use mostly dissolvable sutures that last for four to five months and a few

nondissovable on the skin. No microsurgery is involved in these procedures.

: has made claims over the last week that are not accurate and

I am addressing these claims at this time. These claims were not made be

you but to other patients who called Dr. Feng's office. I am addressing

them directly with Dr. Feng as well. .

I never ever said that she does or doesn't use these methods I can

only speak for what she did for me as far as how I look, and that is all I

I respect what you do and think it is great.

I respect what Dr Feng does and think it is great, I don't think anyone

Is there a reason why you use non dissolvable stitches? Is there an

advantage that you see by using these as opposed to dissolvable.

I think for women who need to travel dissolvable stitches are very

attractive.

Also do you stitch from the inside or the outside.

Again I have heard allot of women say that they have railroad track

incisions from nondisolvable external sutures.

Not sure since I did not have them.

I am not the one who said Dr Feng used microvascular surgery on me, she

didn't I am sure, but I felt that her experience with such delicate

procedures may be an advantage, this is not a fact just my own opinion,

which may or may not be worth anything to anyone, cept me, ha ha.

The majority of stitches are internal and dissolvable. The external sutures

may be not used at all, used only in critical places, or if needed used more

frequently. I usually remove them at 4 to 7 days so as not to get stitch

marks. Most women choose to stay 4 to 7 days in order to get drains out. I

perform one to four explants a week so I have significant experience with

the procedure. Photos are not really accurate for any one patient as each

person has issues that need to be addressed individually and looking at a

whole collection of photos is of more value than just a few. I review

photos at the consultation but emphasize that results are individual

depending on many factors and even I am not always able to predict outcomes

especially when many surgeries have been done. I am very careful not to

make claims that may not be fulfilled. This surgery is very difficult and

sometimes unpredictable. Dr. Feng and myself both have had less than

optimal outcomes so please encourage the women to be realistic in their

expectations. .

When I was implanted, they used non dissolvable stitches and my scars were

horrible and looked railroad track like. Especially around the nipple when

the guy tried to do a mastopexy where he cut just the top portion of the

nipple. What an idiot. I had to undergo cortisone shots in that area. All

of the incisions scarred up terribly and he said it was just the way I

healed. That is crap because my scars now look awesome. They are very thin

and turning white. As for the old ones they were thick and lumpy and stayed

reddish purple. That is what I get for not being informed but I did not

have access to the internet back then.

Ang

Thank you Dr. Kolb.

I have already confirmed with a female PS at Daertmouth that you are correct

when you say MICROSURGERY IS NOT USED IN MASTOPEXY. This PS I saw was also

trained in microsurgery. I don't know why would say this. It's appears a

bit disheartening and misleasding. Thanks again for clarifying the matter.

Suturing techniques are important. I had outside stitches and have railroad

tracks. The best surgeons will use internal stitching not metal suters like the

kind my PS used.

No offense to anyone, but Dr. Kolb is right, made these claims to me.She

further commented that this (microsurgery) was the reason MASTOPEXIES (not

explantation as per my case) can't be performed with local/sedation because the

microsurgery technique on the breasts involve deep tissue stuff. Perhaps she did

this unknowingly and Dr. Feng is not aware (I hope this is the case). But it did

cause confusion and inconvenience with me b/c I dismissed other PS as a

possiblity who did not list microsurgery (on the breast) as a specialty.

Microsurgery or not, suturing techniques are very important when choosing a

surgeon.Feng does good scars from what I gather but the anesthesia

issue/microsurgery thing (claim) leaves me with questions.Finding THE RIGHT

surgeon is very diffucult indeed. As has mentioned, some of use got

screwed big time with fat scars and/or railroad track marks.I'm one of them.

I had interview number 7 for a PS yesterday in LA. I figured I was seeing a

hormone specialist so thought I'd see another. This was a pleasant change from

Shapiro and Gordon as they where disappointing to say the least.

Hi Ang:

I agree. Good docs can do good scars though in some cases, things can go bad

like keloids. In my case, I think it has nothing to do with my skin, as my

appendix scar looks good. My former PS was--is an unskilled asshole who has NO

BUSINESS doing surgery. He's a butcher--pure and simple.

I'm glad your new scars are doing well. You look great. Gordon did a good

vertical mastopexy on you--no doubt about it (thought I think you need a doc to

cleanse you out, he's not the one for that). He's just NOT the doc for my

situation. I think he needs to fire his office manager too.She has no integrity

whatsoever.

Take care,

-Marie

Hi Dr Kolb:

Thanks for the info about anesthesia. My endocrinologist and dermatologist agree that it's not just the general anesthesia drugs itself that has caused my telogen effluvium but it's the impact general anesthesia has on my thyroid. I have hypothyriodsm. After undergoing a general anesthetic procedure, my TSH became abnormal and 6-8 weeks later I lots thousands of hairs. Have you seen this in any of your patients? I know it's rather uncommon, I guess I'm just one of the unlucky ones. Dr. D. Whiting at Baylor University says telogen effluvium occurs in about 20% of the population who undergo surgery. The degree of the loss varies from one patient to the next.

Dr. Feng's nurse () told me this is not so. My docs and the medical lit say otherwise.

Thanks for your post.

-Marie
