Guest guest
Sandy: I'm not on Humira, but am on Enbrel. When I get a cold, and if I was all stuffed up and sneezing, I would skip the dose of Enbrel until I feel better. I just did this last Wednesday, and am just starting my Enbrel up again today. I think better safe than sorry, because I have asthma, and am prone to going into bronchitis anyway, so why push my immune system any more if I can avoid it? Just my 2 cents worth. Guest guest
My doc says don't worry about it unless it's diagnosed bronchitis or pneumonia. I started on Humira when I had just gone on antibiotics for a sinus infection. However, I'll be having major surgery and for that, the surgeon does want me to skip one dose. I'd ask your doc, but don't just skip it without asking. You could be in pain for nothing. > > > Is it true that you can't take Humira injecions if > > you have a cold? Guest guest
Thanks Kathe..I tried to call the Dr. today, but they are out of the office I guess. I keep reading that if you have an infection you shouldn't take it. I too have asthma, so I hate to push it too. I am going to try to call her again tomorrow, and if I can't get a hold of her, I am going to wait I guess. Oh..I'm soooooo confused! Thanks for your reply. =) Sandy > > > Is it true that you can't take Humira injecions if > > you have a cold?
