Guest guest
Hi Kristi: I have RA and Fibro, and have heard that this blurriness is caused by the fibro. I have the same kind of symtoms. I think mine come on when I am on the computer too long, or reading too long, or concentrating on anything too long, even t.v. I am very near-sighted, and have dry eyes as well. I have lubricating eye drops which I use several times a day, and when my eyes become very blurry, I have a steroid ointment which I use for about a week, and this clears it up. However, I received treatment for this from my opthamologist, and I would suggest that you see an eye doctor as well. Sometimes these symptoms are part of our autoimmune diseases or fibro, but sometimes they are a sign of something happening in our eyes, and this needs to be checked by an eye doctor. Do not take your eye sight for granted, no matter if you have illnesses or not, but just because our eyes are a gift, and should be taken care of. So, my advice, check with an opthamologist to make sure your eyes are not being bothered by something else. He can also check for Sojgren's syndrome, which might also cause blurring of the eyes, dryness, and other symptoms, and is many times related to our having RA. It could be absolutely nothing but eye strain, but check it out, okay? Kathe in CA --- Kristi <venuslove106@...> wrote: > Hello everyone. Guest guest
I have wondered about the vision issues too. I would think that if our muscles become fatigued from this, and the eyes are a muscle, why can't they get tired too? I have diabetes and sometimes when the pain gets intense, it raises my sugars which decreases clear vision. Also the Plaquinel has made me very sensitive to light, especially the summer sun here in NJ. I just wear a moisturizer with SPF and wear my sunglasses more often. I do have to get my eyes checked every 6 months because of potential field of vision issues. Whatever, it's just another appointment. Lynn lnburrell@...
