Guest guest
Hi Angie: I have been through this too - am prone to bronchitis anyway because of asthma, and have had a couple of really bad bouts that lasted quite a while. I know it's hard to be off your RA med through this, and have more pain because of it, but it is the right thing to do. Has your doctor tried the Z pack type antibiotics? The last one I had was not the Z pack but something even stronger which also came in a pack - can't recall the name - but maybe someone else can. It really helped. Also, taking cough expectorant during the day, then cough supressant at night to try and sleep, my favorite is Dayquil/Niquil. Also, mucinex really helps to get the phlegm out of the lungs - over the counter. Hot showers or baths with good steam to loosen up secretions is good. Sorry you are going through this - hope that you will be feeling better soon and back on your feet - Kathe in CA --- Angie <angie-long@...> wrote: > I just wanted to say welcome to all the new ones and > hi to all the > others who have been on here. Guest guest
Kathe, I am glad to know I am not alone. I get bronchitis every year but never like this. I have asthma too so that probably adds to it but this is the first time I have ever had it this bad. On a average I am using my prevental at least 3 times a day, the first antibotic I was on was the z pack and have been on 2 since then. Thanks for the suggestions I have found the hot showers do help for a little while. Thanks Angie > > > I just wanted to say welcome to all the new ones and > > hi to all the > > others who have been on here.
