Guest guest
Thanks , write me back when you get a minute and let me know more about the group if you have been a member for awhile. I just got back today from my pre-op appt. with my Orthopedic surgeon and I feel really " blessed " to have him do my surgery in a few weeks. He told me today he is actually traveling to Russia soon for 5 days with a surgical team to do a few select surgeries on some children with extreme cases of scoliosis. What an " amazing " M.D. God really blessed him with his talent. Anyway, write when you can, and thanks for the well- wishes. Sincerely,Nursekat <Matsumura_Clan@...> wrote: Welcome to the group, ! Guest guest
welcome Kathy, sounds like you do have a few problems... to say the least. Any time you need to vent, just come on and let 'er rip. Sometimes that helps. Lurk all through the files, too, and I'm sure you will find something that will be of some help. soft hugs. Guest guest
Hi : Welcome to the group! You have found the right place for compassion, support, and information. I have OA, RA, Raynaud's, and Fibro. Many of us have multiple diagnoses - keeps things lively - seems there is always something new sneaking up on us! I take meds for my RA - Enbrel and Methotrexate, and also Ultram ER which works for my RA, OA and Fibro pain all at once. I take Fibro meds, high blood pressure and asthma medications too. Lots of pills, but they keep me going. I am even able to ride my horse once in a while whenever the weather, my joints, and my best friend's days off coincide! I am married for 23 years, and have two kids (well, 22 and 19)who are supportive of me, especially my daughter, with whom I have a very special bond - she is also my chauffer as I don't drive much anymore. All of the little things I have had to give up, I think driving bothers me the most as it means a loss of independence that really irks me. Oh well, just means I get to be with my animals much more - two horses, five dogs, two cockatiels, and lots of outside fowl! Sounds like you have had a lot happening to you in the recent years - I hope that your next surgery is successful and gives you relief from your pain. I also believe in the power of prayer, and will be keeping you in my prayers nightly, as I do all of the groups I am in - they are my extended family and help me in so many different ways. The RA group was my first internet attempt, and the benefits I have reaped here have influenced me to expand my group horizons! You will find many friends here too, I am sure. Take care - and my prayers are with you - let us know how your surgery goes - by the way, my name is also , spelled just like yours!
