The Region 17 Autism Planning and Advisory Team is hosting their 1st

Autism Conference on June 7 & 8, 2006.

Keynote address by Dr Pratt 9:00 - 11:30 AM

Afternoon session by Dr Pratt 1:00- 4:00PM

On June 8th between 8:30AM and 4:30 PM there will be a variety of

speakers from across the country, across the state and from within

Region 17.

Speakers include Dr Catlett, Tisha & Cissy ,

Hunter, Dr Marilyn Montiero, Dr Paradiz, Dr. e , Dr

Pamela s and linda Erevia.

Topics will include: Transition Requirements and Services; Vocational

Planning; In-home Training; the Autism Supplement; FBA's & BIP's; Autism

Learning Styles; Autism and Sexuality; Visual Strategies for Reading,

Math and Behavior; Communication; Social Communication; Grief; Sensory

Strategies. In addition there will be a Parent Panel, a Support Groups

Panel, an overview of Autism and a tour of the Burkhart Center.

The following have agreed to have an exhibit at the conference: Future

Horizons; Praises, Prizes and Presents, Golden Child Resources, Hands-On

Tasks & Ideas and the Autism/Asperger's Publishing Company.

Registration is $50.00.
