Guest guest
jan, I was having a similar problem, what I'd say wasn't what I was thinking. Like, saying hot dogs instead of hamburgers! or left instead of right. I had no short term memory, and was confused most of the time. I was terrified. It turned out to be an interaction between two of my meds, Celexa and Ultracet. The problems started when both were switched to generic at the same time. As soon as I stopped taking the Ultracet, it was a matter of days before it got better. The fog has never completely gone away, and sometimes I still say things that don't come out right, but I'm willing to put that down to the " Fibro Fog " . Guest guest
Jan, So sorry you are having this problem. Word-finding difficulty (sometimes referred to as " anomia " ) can occur for many reasons. Over the years here, we've had many such reports which were characterized as part of " fibro fog " or " brain fog " either due to fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, or medications. Usually, psychotropic medications (antidepressants, antipsychotics, antianxiety meds, for example) are good suspects. You are taking a lot of medications. It could also be a drug interaction. I would discuss it with your physician, especially if you have added something new recently. Not an MD I'll tell you where to go!
